About PMRCL
The Patna Metro Rail Corporation Limited (PMRCL) is a Special Purpose Vehicle (SPV) incorporated on September 5, 2019, as a joint venture between the Government of India and the Government of Bihar.
PMRCL is responsible for the planning, design, construction, operation, and maintenance of the Patna Metro Rail Project. The Delhi Metro Rail Corporation (DMRC) serves as the General Consultant, bringing world-class metro expertise to Bihar's capital.
The corporation is committed to delivering a safe, efficient, and modern rapid transit system that will transform urban mobility in Patna, reduce road congestion, and provide an eco-friendly alternative to private transportation.

Rolling Stock & Train Design
Patna Metro uses 3-car train sets expandable to 6 cars. Each car is air-conditioned and designed for maximum passenger comfort.
The coach exteriors feature artistic designs inspired by the rich cultural heritage of Bihar — including Madhubani art motifs.
